Beschreibung:

Located in Mid-Manhattan on the West Side, the Skyline Hotel is within walking distance to: Broadway and 42nd Street (the cross roads of the world) and most Broadway theatres, Central Park, 5th Avenue Shopping, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Circle Line Cruises, the Intrepid Museum, Cruise Ship Terminal, and other major sightseeing attractions.

The Skyline is in a neighborhood known as Clinton - and historically as Hell's Kitchen. 'West Side Story' was filmed only a few blocks down the Street. This once 'notorious' neighborhood has changed totally with the last few years. Tree lined streets, flower gardens and window boxes have replaced this once infamous rough are of docks, ships and immigrants.

This is not to say ships are no longer a part of this historic area! Major passenger ships dock mid-March through mid-October at the new Cruise Terminal a few blocks away. The neighborhood is also home to CBS Studios, as well as syndicated talk shows, and major recording studios.

As a Full Service Hotel the Skyline features the largest sleeping rooms in New York City. With a total of 230 rooms there are 186 with two double beds. The Hotel also features an 'indoor swimming pool' open all year; and has free storage parking for hotel guests. The 1050 Restaurant serves Italian and Continental Cuisine; and on most nights 'live' entertainment. There are facilities for Conventions, Meetings, Seminars and Social Events.

This once ‘notorious' neighborhood has changed totally within the last few years. Tree lined streets, flower gardens and window boxes have replaced this once infamous rough area of docks, ships and immigrants.

This is not to say shipping is no longer a part of this historic area. Now major passenger ships dock from mid-March through mid-May at the new Cruise Terminal a few blocks away. This neighborhood also is home to many recording companies, CBS Studios and other video facilities where many of the syndicated shows are filmed.

Restaurants from every nationality and within all price ranges abound on 9th Avenue from 42nd Street to 57th Street. Each May there is a wonderful Street Festival featuring all the foods of this area. In addition, Restaurant Row on 47th Street in the Theater District is within easy waking distance. Important most of all is our Continental/Italian Restaurant 1050 which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
